After the great success of “Van Gogh Alive”, the Munich Utopia has the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in its program as the next immersive experience. Start is in December 2022.

“Viva Frida Kahlo” is the first immersive, i.e. virtual, but very real-looking staging of the world-famous works by Mexican art icon Frida Kahlo. The successful exhibition comes to Germany from Switzerland in 2022 and will be on view at Exhibition Stand in Munich and Germany venue perfectly suited for the multimedia show.

As a former riding and parade hall, the listed hall of the Utopia combines the historical ambience of Munich with the latest technology for shows, events and virtual rooms. Previously, “Van Gogh alive” was one of the most visited multimedia exhibitions in the world, but it is currently in Hamburg.

In Munich it will then continue with Frida Kahlo in winter 2022: the production literally draws visitors into the world of the most famous painter in Mexico and Latin America. Here the time of their work in the 1920s to 1940s is not only presented in a contemporary way. The colorful paintings and self-portraits as evidence of a life full of pain, creativity and an unbroken will to live can be experienced in all possible nuances and emotions through elaborate all-round projections. You have certainly never seen Frida Kahlo’s works like this!
